Whenever the valve operates the engine does not operate, it only runs whenever hydraulic energy generation is necessary. Electro hydraulic actuators are used to automate gate, ball, plug, butterfly or damper valves.
Actuation mechanisms include symmetric or canted scotch yoke, pinion and rack, vein and piston type for lineal valves. In order to operate, these actuators depend on instruments and/or fixtures, such as engines, pumps, oil reservoirs, storage batteries, solenoids, limit switches, filter, regulators, manometers, high and/or low pressure pilots, electric switches, bypass valves, maintenance valves, partial test device, eutectic devices, storage tanks, nitrogen banks, local operation button panels, remote operation button panels, controllers, PLC, communication protocols, as well as wireless fire retardant protection, among others.
Operation times range from medium to as fast at a 1 sec/inch rate, or less. They are equipped with a manual hydraulic pump, In order to operate, and are ideal for pipelines carrying natural or sour gases, or nitrogen, as well as for liquids that cannot be used as drivers. They are ideal for cut valves, pipeline sectioning or emergency shutdowns.
